Any thoughts on the season premier of Enterprise? I have a few.

The reviews for the episode have been bad, with peoiple claiming that it is a hokey, has been done to death idea. I don't care. I hate how fans of the old Star Trek can call things on Enterprise "hokey."

I thought it worked out fairly well. I liked the gangsters they had brought up, and the actors they have playing the Nazi's work really well.

By the way, the general who talked to Archer at the begining....that is John Fleck, the same actor who later portrayed Silik, and has portrayed Silik since the first episode almost 4 years ago. So maybe the characters have a connection too? Or just a chance to save $$ on reusing an actor.

Sigh....

I need to be sat down, and slowly talked to regarding the new developments of Enterprise.

The xindi arc abruptly stops, now we have new Nazi creatures with red eyes, and Daniels is dead. I know theres more in part two, but I need answers now! And now Brent Spiner is coming on board...and I will be even more discombobulated. Overlapping story lines, reoccurring characters...it's all too much for this feeble astronomers mind to wrap around.

I think that there are much too many loose threads hanging, and constantly more is being added.

I just don't know.

Don't worry, it'll get better. After this storyline ends, which is Storm Front pt. 2 and that's it, then all new fresh storylines will begin. No more Xindi, no more Suliban, no more Nazi's.

So by the time Brent Spiner appears, all the ridiculous storylines will be over and the new ones will begin. Just fight your way through one more episode. The episode after that is called "Home" and it kind of wraps up the Xindi deal...think about it...they just arrived home after destroying the weapon, and now the TCW has ended...Archer and crew are heroes.....so hopefully it will peter out now.

I'll wait it out, but it leads to more confusion.

If the Xindi line stops... it leaves us cold. Now c'mon...they came within a a hair in completely destroying the Earth, and now they are written out? The bad guys are still floating around in the expanse including the female borg types. The Suliban are still sore, and there are still plenty of spheres. And even the Borg have made an appearance.

What were Braga and company smoking? I'm glad they are out as main writers.

Dropping this element cold is distrubing.

Destroying the one sphere set off a chain reaction that destroyed them all....so all the spheres are gone.....with that, it is possible to assume that the borg chicks, or spherebuilders (whatever they are) are either dead, or just plain gone, since the spheres are gone and they can't exist in this dimension now.

A Xindi or two might show up. The 3rd episode, the one after the sequel to Storm Front, is supposed to wrap up the Xindi storyline. Oh, and I think T'Pol is supposed to get married or something.

I have seen parts of the two parter now, and even with Brian's help...I don't get it much. The Suliban alien is dead, The Nazi creatures are stuck in the 20th century, Daniels is alive again and Enterprise is back in it's normal time frame and orbiting Earth.

Eh?

Did I miss key points in the "Stormfront" storyline? Now, I will be watching these two episodes again, (Courtesy of Brian - Master Star Trek Interpreter), so I will have more after, but the whole segment seemed so un-necessary.

I understand that Braga and buds screwed up the story line of Enterprise, and I am glad they are not main writers anymore, but it seemed like the new guys needed to tie up very loose ends with this last two shows.

And now...T'pol is getting married, Where the hell did this come into play? The Earth just barely escaped annihilation and now we have a marriage to attend. I wanted to observe the effects of what they just went thru. The politics of Starfleet and the status of what is soon to become the Federation. When Enterprise returned home, I noticed different ships in the welcoming armada, I saw Vulcan ships and I believe Andorian, but there were others I could not Identify.

And in two weeks...Spinner enter the picture!

Sigh.....I'll never get it.

Don't worry, the next episode will clarify everything slightly. It is not all about T'Pol's marriage, it also involves Archer returning home and being considered a hero, and how he adapts to it.

DId you notice the twin towers and Osama bin Laden? Also, at the end, did you see the NX-02? That was the ship they were talking about that was being built during the second season, named the Columbia, aptly titled right after the Columbia blew up....kind of their tribute.

The tapes should help. "Home" will be added to them too after Friday so if you miss it, don't worry.
