It couldn't guess telescope, but when it gave up it listed a couple dozen "is it one of these" and "a telescope" was the first one. I guess the problem is the questions are subjective, like is it pleasurable. That depends... typically yes but frustrating when you're trying to do astrophotography.

Here's why it couldn't figure out telescope right away:

You were thinking of a telescope.
Do you use it at work? You said Sometimes, I say No.
Does it have writing on it? You said No, I say Yes.
Is it pleasurable? You said No, I say Yes.
Is it shiny? You said No, I say Yes.

That's true on the subjective part. When I challeged it, it couldn't get it in the first 20 questions, but I choose to continue the game and went on. It finally guesses correctly that I was thinking about a "Giant Quid".

I had Captain Nemo on my mind at the time.

Okay, now that is just not cool!! I study martial arts, and I was thinking of a sword. That damn thing nailed me in 9 questions. I want to know how it does it. I think it cheated and read my mind> HA HA, Du'oh!!!!!
