The LRO has Imaged the Apollo Landing sites

I have been waiting for these images for decades...and finally we get contemporary images of the landing sites..



I always though such images could have been delivered in the past..via Hubble or other lunar probes. And exactly like as pictured. I had always speculated that at least...the decent stage shadows could be observed, especially during lunar sunset or sunrise. Infrared pics would have shown higher reflected heat than the surrounding area. But regardless...too cool! ;D

Where are the Rovers and rover tracks?





When the LRO gets into it's comfortable permament orbit, it will only be 30 miles high and can image objects down to 18 inches.
