Stolen Telescope Alert: Schenectady New York

My Criterion Dynascope Dob was stolen between July 20th & August 4th Description:

6 inch f8.3 Newtonian. Tube is about 52" long and 7-1/2" in diameter. 2" focuser, 80mm Tuthill right angle finder with TeleVue 40mm Plossl eyepiece. The tube is Metallic blue wrinkle paint, 1/8" thick bakelite. banded with White reflective 1"tape. a 10 lb.barbell weight attached to the he mirror end. The Dob Base is 1" thick
Masonite covered with ebony star formica, 3 screw feet. The rocker box is varnished 3/4" Birch plywood & white 1" stripes. Black grab handles, altitude bearings are 4" PVC pipe caps.

The Tube Box is Birch plywood, a 5/16"
wing nut on threaded rod to adjust the tube assembly, & handle on top.

The scope was stolen from 1805 Euclid
Ave. Schenectady, NY.

How low can someone be to steal a man's telescope. Let's all keep an eye out for Frank's scope and hopefully return it to him.

It's never good to see someone stoop to theft, whether it's a cheap piece of gum, or something of value. Sorry to hear about the theft, and I hope you get the scope back.

On a lighter note, it's odd that I saw this post because I was just commenting yesterday to my wife that I feel sorry for anyone trying to make off with the Meade. We'd probably go into the garage and see the poor guy rolling on the ground holding his nuts. That thing is heavy!!!

But anyway, hope you get it back. I know I'd be more than a little pissed.
