I am reading this book now and it is very good. It takes you through the Mercury Missions to the end of the Apollo Missions. I am currently on Book three and then on TNT yesterday they ran the whole 14 hours of the HBO Series. (I taped it.) By reading this book not only did I get some good knowledge of what happened in the early years of NASA but it gave me a better apperation of the Moon. I cant see how I could look up at the Moon now and not think about the Men who went there and how they changed the history of Space Travel.

This book is worth reading.

I would like to borrow your tapes of the show, if I may.

I like the early years of space travel, where the unknown was challenged, men were men, and astrounats ate dinner in a tube!

It sounds like a good book and well worth a read.

I don't know if this is directly related or from a different source, but I read a recent magazine review in either Astronomy Mag or Sky and Telescope about a new DVD series available on the Mercury and Apollo missions. Three are available now with more to come. I'll try to remember to look it up at home later. The reviewer said it was done very well.

If this is the same one I just saw boy was it worth the 14 hours of watching the show and tapping it. I am glad I did. I hope they come out with the Shuttles next. Thats where they left off.
