Hi Joe

Wasn't sure of the best place to post this, so I'll leave it up yo you. It's a poem I wrote after my first year in astronomy.

It's Not Just

It's not just the stars
Beautiful
Twinkling in the sky
The bright ones
The dim ones
Just visible to the eye
It's not just the planets
Wandering through the night
It's not just the nebula
The dark and the bright
It's not just the Galaxy's
In the billions I'm told
Whirlpool and barred
Some young, some old
It's not just these things
not by far
not by far
What I like the most
What a great opportunity
Is to belong
To the Amateur
Astronomy
Community

When I sitting heard the learned astronomer where he lectured with much applause in the lecture room,

Till rising and gliding out I wander'd off by myself,
In the mystical moist night-air, and from time to time,
Look'd up in perfect silence at the stars.
