[Chicago Astronomer - Astro Joe]

The Chicago Astronomer and the "March for Science"

To support all aspects of science may be threatened by federal and state attacks and funding cut backs, a protest march is scheduled for Saturday morning in Grant Park. The Chicago Astronomer has decided to participate with thousands of other science individuals and groups. 

The large group will assemble at Michigan and Congress at 10:00 am for a rally and then march to the museum campus for activities on the south steps of the Field Museum.

 The Chicago Astronomer crew will meet just west of the Buckingham Fountain and join the group at 9:45 am.

 The whole event should conclude at 1:00 pm...and we will participate in the march.

We welcome all lovers of the night sky and fans of the Chicago Astronomer to join us in this positive message to governmental bodies.

We are a solid go for Saturday morning's gathering of scientist and defenders of knowledge.

The Chicago Astronomer crew will be west of the Buckingham fountain at 9:45 am, exactly where is unknown, not knowing what the crowds will be. Look for the Chicago Astronomer Banner and flying the Chicago Flag....(From my Chicago Police days...knew it would come in handy again one day..!)
