Hi, I'm new to the board and to the subject and would love attend a series of classes to teach me the basics. Anyone aware of such an offering?

Local community colleges usually have astronomy courses for college credit, and sometimes for non-credit continuing adult education. I took such a course that was taught by an instructor at the Chicago Community Colleges through WTTW-TV11 in 1957. It was a credit course, but I could receive no credit because I was in 7th grade with no high school diploma. College credit would be nice if you can get it, but not entirely necessary in the pursuit of knowledge.
