Our First Public Observation Session for the 2016 Astronomical Season at the
606 Bloomingdale Trail

Join the Chicago Astronomer crew at the 606 Bloomingdale Trail for our 1st public observation session of this 2016 season. We will set-up telescopes at the Exelon Observatory site at Ridgeway Ave, (1801 N. Ridgeway) and the trail - at the apex of the helical path leading to our scopes...
We will attend to trail visitors on a nice warm late winter evening and share the mighty planet Jupiter, the Orion Nebula and other celestial favorites for this time of year. We will be on-site from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm...sharing the urban skies and chat all things astronomical with fans and friends. Weather looks favorable with partly cloudy skies.
If it's cloudy or rains, we will meet at the Mozart Park Field House - 2036 N Avers Ave for an indoor lecture and activities...
Note: The Chicago Astronomer will be on-site at the 606 Trail Observatory every 2nd Friday to guide trail visitors across the cosmos. Check this site and Chicago Astronomer social media feeds for notices and update.
