There have been no replies from other Chicago Astronomers to this thread, which has existed for over three months. Can we therefore assume that no one is interested in attending a May or June star party at dark skies (no street lighting) Turner Camp in far northwest suburban Chicagoland?

Would this proposed event on May 24th be open to the general public? My 2 high school aged homescoolers in Elgin are looking for something like this.

Would anyone in that area with a scope be interested in an informal star party? I've been traveling for the last few months, and just got back to town. Would love to peer at something in the sky, but all my regular astro groups have nothing going on this week. I live on the other side of the river, but I'm actually further south right now so anything along the river would be great.

I was waiting to jump in on this thread because I've been working so much, and being a holiday weekend, had no idea what my availability would be. I still have no idea.
