1st post Equinox Chicago Astronomer Star Party

Summer is now behind us and the crisp skies of fall wait for the Chicago Astronomers to set-up telescopes and share the skies with our fans and friends.  Join us in this first Post Equinox session with Astronomers as we grab the last of Saturn for this season and enjoy binaries and star clusters together.

We will arrive by 7:30 pm and remain till 9:30 pm - setting up just west of the Adler Building.  The weather all this week promises to be great for star gazing.  Stop by, peer through the largest mobile public telescope in the city and take some photos with me.

UPDATE:

We are a solid go for tonight's Post Equinox gathering of Astronomers and Telescopes.

Weather will be beautiful, with not a cloud in the sky and warm temps - perfect.

I'll bring along the the GC-5 mount and use the iPAd to seek out star clusters quickly throughout the night after Saturn sets.
