The Orion Nebula - a 10 minute and 1 second exposure at ISO 100
Pic taken under a full moon and the Chicago light pollution with a Canon T3i dslr and a 6" imaging newtonian(with a coma corrector and an imaging light pollution filter) on a Celestron AVX eq mount.
Mount guided with SSAG autoguider on a modified 9x50 finderscope using a laptop and PHD freeware.
The orange above is an electric cable.
Result:
Absolutely no star trailing even though I did not polar align the EQ mount.
SSAG and AVX are a perfect match for long exposure astrophotography!
