Hello everyone! As you can see from the subject line, my name is Scott Irwin and I live in Evanston, Illinois.
My hobbies include amateur (ham) radio, astronomy, camping, cooking, gardening, fitness, outdoor activities, photography, and technology.
While I had a telescope as a child, I was too young to appreciate it, and I remember mostly looking at the moon with it. My interest in astronomy was renewed courtesy of a Celestron 6se scope that happened to be offered as part of my employer's anniversary recognition program. I was also able to use other rewards points to obtain the Celestron lens/filter accessory kit, a Canon T-Ring adapter, a focal reducer, and a T-Ring adapter.
The scope has only been out 3 times, and this weekend I was able to do a quick unplanned shot of the moon, posted here:
