I'll introduce myself.
My name is DeWayne.
I live in Peoria, Illinois.
I'm a newspaper reporter.
I belong to the Peoria Astronomical Society, Peoria Academy of Sciences and Astronomical League.
Ihave a Meade refractor, Bushnell Voyager 4.5" reflector and Orion XT8 Skyquest Reflector.
I'm looking forward to getting to know more astronomers close to my backyard.

See, as you got on the ground floor, you get privileges such as carrying my scope to the observation site, bringing the martini's, and holding Sarwat down, while I attach weights to his legs prior to pushing him into the lake.

The Forum is indeed growing quite fast since it's inception on 18 May 2004. It's not even a month old yet, and we are listed at the top of Google searches, quoted in The Chicago Tribune and referenced in many online directories. We have memberships spanning the globe, with hits from countries such as Romania, The Netherlands, India and Spain. I'll create a list soon, and put up a map, in which we all can pin our locations. Quite fun.

Priveleges? Carrying telescopes? Hell, I am bringing Southern Comfort then. And I noticed I gained a 3rd pip on my uniform as well.

I see myself sitting by the lake drinking a martini underneath a giant cardboard box looking for sunspots through a pinhole in a peice of tinfoil.
