What do ya say fellas'? First round on me after the party!
Hickory Knolls Mars in March!Presented by the St. Charles Park District, Iskwatch.com and Onedarksky.com Relax in the warmth and comfort of the Twinleaf Rooms and watch the big screen as images are projected from telescopes outside on the patio…or head outside to view the moon,Mars (at its closest to Earth) and look for spring constellations such as Leo.
6–8pm: Activities for Families and Scouts
•Investigate how craters are formed •Take a ride in a ‘space ship’ with out of this world stories •Test your skill at maneuvering a ‘Mars Rover’ •View the moon, Jupiter and stars both inside and out! •Create your own alien (color for younger kids) Refreshments, including Charlie Fox’s Pizza, will be available for purchase
6:30pm: Alien Costume Parade Ages 12 and under: Come dressed as your favorite alien or Martian!
7pm: Mars Presentation 8–9pm: Teen and Adult Viewing
•Tour the night skies and enjoy stargazing indoors and out •Discuss current events in space exploration
