Hey all...
I secured the Hickory Knolls discovery center for Jan 13 with a bad weather day of Jan 20. 6- 9pm for the kids and till whenever for the adults.
Im going to bring my dob and the super c8 that acquired from craigslist. I need to purchase a webcam for the live stuff. The daily herald and courier newspapers are supposed to be there as well.
Events planned so far....
* Native american astronomy lesson for kids.
* Astro crafts for kids.
* Live telescope view of Jupiter via wireless webcam transmission to the indoor viewing area
* Outdoor telescope viewing
* Astro talk session for folks who bring their scopes
If you would like to do a presentation or know of anyone who would like to give one let me know so we can arrange a time line.
The folks at Hickory Knolls are expecting a nice sized turn out for this event. I will give post a full schedule in a week or so.
