Hey, Chicago Astronomers, I get to play Antonio as The Man in the Moon in the masquerade ball within Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing. It’s the original “screwball” romantic comedy!
So I invite you to a fun-filled Shakespeare in the Park Festival at Veteran’s Memorial Park in northwest suburban McHenry, Illinois on July 18. The festivities will conclude at the park gazebo with our free opening night performance of Much Ado. The play features music, singing, dancing and the marvelous banter between Beatrice and Benethingy (much like Diane and Sam on Cheers)! Additional performances will be conducted Ravinia-style in McHenry’s Petersen Park, July 21-26. Unlike opening night, admission will cost $10. P.S. I can't believe that the name of Beatrice's lover has been altered in such an odd way by this website's censor. The character's name is more like Benerick, but with a "d" instead of an "r".
