Earth Orbit Satellites
Sometimes we get excited and carried away with deep space probes and planetary landers, that we often forget about the manmade satellites in constant orbit around the Earth.Never blinking, they are bouncing communication signals, looking out away from earth, watching our weather, and sometimes...watching us!
We see these objects nightly while conducting our observation sessions, when they zoom overhead against the stars of the night. It never fails to halt us in our tracks and I often follow them with binoculars as long as I can.
It is then that I create this new board for manmade satellites to help us spot and identify these objects. I appreciate Chicago Astronomer Grady's knowledge and vigilance, and his observations for this topic.
Look to the skies...
