This is what Star Trek Stories are made of...
Voyager 1, reaching the boundaries of the heliosphere, is still alive and well. The main story here is the solar eruption that has been bombarding the planets and our space emissaries, but what I find remarkable is that Voyager keeps calling home everyday with a status report.
Alone in the cold darkness of kinda deep space, it was built well enough to keep beeping and clicking away. I wonder if it still sends images back to us. I'd like to see those.
It's gonna be cool when it reports the intense radiation from the solar eruption that will hit it at any moment.
