Some Outstanding and Incredible images of the Venus Transit

I have been reading in other posts about a glow in a limb of Venus during the Transit. I could only guess what was observed. Here is a great shot of the sight...

It is by far the best shot of the Transit I have ever seen.

We were discussing the lack of Sunspot activity during the transit, but SOHO seems to have picked out some faint ones...

Those are some really nice pictures. I was wondering if you got any of the Mercury transit last year? Mercury transitions happen a lot more frequently than any other, obviously, but I didn't know if you ever tracked it down.

I never saw it, and after seeing the Venus one, I was curiuous about Mercury. I found some cool photos of it, just to get a perspective of the size of the planet and its proximity to the sun.







Makes you wonder what we look like when the invisible population of Mars wants to go to the beach by the ocean of water we can't detect.
