Here's one of the first successful deep sky photos I've taken. I shot through an ST80 telescope piggy-backed on my Meade LX90 and used a Nikon Coolpix 4500, :08 seconds at f/2.6, ISO 400, processed in Paint Shop Pro.
Not perfect, perhaps, but don't blame the stars for that.
One of my favorite open star clusters. I always look for it in late summer, as it tells me it's time to start preparing for winter.
