After my training class at the Adler, Brian met up with me to do some quick lunar observations and just hang out.
Here we are with his telescope that was given to him as a gift. I think it's a 2" refractor, and it's from "Penny's". The views through it were surprisingly good considering it's aperture. The long star finder scope is a kick. The air was incredibly filled with moisture and was perhaps the dewiest I have ever experienced for an observation session. Everything got soaked and I even had to use my windshield wipers!
I like Brian's energy of youth and conversational skills on a variety of subjects from politics to religion to just plain astronomy.
I had a nice time at our mini moon party.
