Many topics here are discussed on a radio show called "Coast to Coast AM"

It's mostly interviewing guests on paranormal subjects, from time travel, ghosts, Tesla, Mars anomalies, the pyramids etc... but sometimes hardcore astronomy and space travel are discussed. This evening for example was a guest that talked in length about the Soviet push for the moon, the Hubble, the Shuttle and other spaceflight related topics. A lot of what we agreed in this forum about todays NASA, was echoed in the show.

It can be found in Chicago on 890 am WLS-AM from 12:00 am to 4:00 am nightly.

As with all things, you take what you want out of it, but I tell you...a lot of good stuff is talked about on that show. It is rated the number one rated overnight talkshow nationwide.

I have heard this show, and actually, I think it is what replaced Art Bell, if I am not mistaken. I need to tune in more often at night.

Usually at night I am blasting something loud and angry from my car.

You are correct, in that it replaced Art Bell, (who can still be heard on the weekends).

I first tuned in in the mid-90's by accident. I was scanning the AM dial one winter night, and caught an interview with a person who claimed he invented a time travel machine. Although I didn't believe him, the science behind his claims was interesting.

Since then I have been tuning in, entertained on some of the subjects, but more interested in the unknown.

The Bad Astronomer, Physicist Micheo Kako, and other esteemed guests are often interviewed.

I recommend it.

Ok Guys,

You listen to this show all the time right. Ok I was up all night (well until 5 am) because of some extreme pain I was in and happened to remember the show was on. My husband and I were listening to it. Part of it made sense and most of it did not. Last nights show was on Giants and UFO's. Now what I couldnt quite figure out was what kind of giants were they talking about, and of the UFO tunnels somewhere. They were saying people have been down in these tunnels and many occasions. Now I might have been out of my mind from the pain but it didnt make sense to me. Can someone please explain it to me.

I didn't listen to it when you did, but I know some of the content you speak of.

There have been many discoveries unearthed of human-like bones that are larger than modern man. Huge skulls, large elongated leg and arm bones etc..

And ancient texts from different cultures write about the "Giants" from the heavens that walked the Earth. In fact, the biblical account of David and Goliath is said to be a bastardization of such a being. True or false...I dunno. but it is quite interesting, and quite possible.

About the tunnels...well...the theories provided makes one think, but there is no hard evidence to support the claims. But then again Einstein's claims of energy was just a crazy theory too.

I caught a bit last evening with Hoagland, bashing the incompetence/secrecy of NASA and discussing space travel. I like his content.

With everything else, you take what you want out of the show, but much does make some sense. And that is the purpose of this catagory. I'm sure we will banter about more.

C2C .. when i have time to listen to that radio show i tune it in for a good laugh.
Sad that it is like the Inquirer on the radio and has a listening audience of over 10 million!

Do all these 10 mill. really swallow the crap they put on that show? If so their parents and education system has failed them.

Answer me this Mr. Critical Eye, have you ever seen the movie Batman? Did you believe that there was a guy in a rubber suit fighting the joker?

Do you believe that a mutated spider could bite you and you could suddenly have powers allowing you to climb on walls and sense immediate danger?

Do you believe CSI's can always find exactly the clues they need to solve every case that comes accross their desks?

I think the education system has failed to do it job with people by not making them read as much fiction as they preach fact. I am very selective on what I listen to. I have heard the show several times, and 1 out of every 5 times I change the station if it is something goofy or boring. But sometimes they have something interesting to listen to. Is it fact? It is complete garbage? I don't know. But I know they should have someone like you in the studio with them to try to knock everything down whenever a person comes on to talk. The extremes are only carried on by more extremes.

There are in fact, a lot of "unexplained" phenomenon out there...and some we have experienced ourselves.

Ghosts...life after death experiences, U.F.O.s...it goes on. But because I have never been to the Amazon, doesn't mean it does not exist. Nor can I discount the account of someone who swears he saw the black triangle silently flying overhead in the southwest.

The C2C show has doubtful guests, but often I enjoy many of the subjcts, like the account of a woman who was clinically dead, and was revived, and what she saw. Or the amazing work of Teslsa..who was working to bring free energy to the public, but was crushed by big power companies, or , (Dare I say it), Richard Hoagland, who speculates that life exists on Mars today.

Explorers always have questioned, and sought their own answers...often at great risk. Some here today would feel right at home persecuting Galieo for his ideas or ridiculed Goddard for his toying with rockets. Some just don't get it....and never will.

But, the ostrich feels quite comfortable where he's at.

Second Man on the Moon, Buzz Aldrin on the Coast to Coast radio show

Monday evening - (31 July), The Coast to Coast radio show had the Great Col. Buzz Aldrin as a guest. It was nice listening to his voice after all these years, and he still sounds robust. But an observation...

Not a critique, but Buzz seemed to meander in his answers, go on tangents and eventually come back around to answer the question. Sometimes he didn't answer the question at all. We did pick up various tidbits such as the curcuit breaker pen repair incident on the Moon and if he saw a UFO.

His manner reminded me of a good book I read named "Moonwalkers". It's about the astronauts who have walked the moon and their lives after coming home. The chapter on Buzz related that he was distant, verbally disorganized and at times - on great tangets. It seems to be true of the man.

But regardless, it was quite cool to listen to him account his experiences on the show...

I didn't care much for fiction in school nor do I now. I'm completely content with fact, and things that can be proved.

I would like to go on a tangent of my own, but that would take up too much space.
As for C2C it's very funny listening to all the nutcases that come on there. Even somewhat sad...
