Here is an image of alleged vegetation presently on the surface of Mars. They resemble the squat Banyan trees here on Earth where water is scarce.

This strip can be found directly at the Malin Space Science Systems. Malin Space Science Systems (MSSS)

I've seen this before. Very compelling evidence. Arthur C. Clarke considers this the "smoking gun" regarding large-scale life on Mars.

When did NASA/JPL announce subsurface stores of water? The only one I remeber was PAST existence of liquid, flowing water on the surface. Looks like I missed this one. Can anyone send me a link to this announcement?

You know...considering that these are un-retouched images directly from NASA/Malin, how can one, (with an open mind), state that these anomolies are not signs of life. The basics of colonies are present and fractal organization is quite evident. It's almost like looking down at Earth in certain parts of Mars.

Why is it that mainstream astronomy/sciences refuses to comment on this? Is it because it would challenge social beliefs or religious faith? I think so. And most people appear ignorant and become violent if challenged on common percieved thought. Look what happens to a city when a sports team wins a simple championship.

I don't know if all this is true, but there are thousands of unexplained anomolies of the planet Mars. And to depend solely on official sources is to drink from only one cup. Lot of wacko claims out there, but many need more investigation.

It is hard to determine what is real and what isn't anymore, due to the wonders of Photoshop and whatnot.

I always try to be objective, but it gets hard. I think that one of the main reasons the mainstream doesn't cover these kind of things is for maybe the same reason certain people once joined this group and started uprisings only to ask to be removed.

People are afraid it might make them lose credibility. Look at what has been happeneing to Dan Rather on CBS after a few stupid forged documents were floating around and a controversy was born.

I think there may be life on Mars. I am leaning to about 80% to believe it. I feel much better when we get more proof and at the same time, when the rest of the world wants to come out from the cave and see it.

With a somewhat educated and open mind, I do think that Mars is not the dead world that we are lead to believe.

Images beamed back to Earth from the Themis satellite and others, show formations suspiciously liken to single cell, (or better), plant life. Water still flows on the surface as seepage bubbles up from underground, and of course, the ice caps shrink and grow with the seasons - as the solid carbon dioxide AND water come and go.

Mainstream astronomers and scientists are hesitant to comment on the possibility of Martian life presently existing there, and I can understand their silence. But as methane, (a by-product of the process of life), has been discovered in abundance there, and more evidence is slowly spoon fed out, one day soon - it will be too much to keep the status quo afloat.

Aside from Mars, there is always still that idea of life being found in a possible ocean underneath Europa.

I believe there there may not only be life there, but life greater than just single cell organisms and plantilife.

First, we are going to need to get past what is on Mars, and find out just what else is up there as well. Time will tell.

I tend to lean towards what "is" proven and what isn't i suppose.
There is alot of perpetual nonsense from "psuedoscientific" type people. So I agree it is an open and educated mind wether to believe the noonsense or not.

Facts about Mars are that it's axis shift over 90 deg. during a 4,000 year period. It doesn't have a comperable magnetosphere. It doesn't have a comerable atmosphere compairable to ours.

Methane gas detected, well even the most remedial volcanic action can also give off methane gas as well. Still not enough conclusive evidence to say it is from lifeforms of any kind.

Back to the picture though. It still looks like it was messed with and added to ( the blue strips with writing)
and are inturpreted for someones stance or belief of what it is while disregarding any facts or truths about it.

There, in all it's raw and unprocessed imagery, is the "plant Life" on the surface of the planet. And this is not the only one available.....there is image after image of abnormal and unusual items that look remarkably similar to plant life.

No active volcanos on Mars, but if it does have active vulcanism, it would only buttress the conditions for life.

One cannot discount the possibility is life presently on Mars.

These may be raw pictures but are inturpreted bt non-professionals.
As for life on Mars today. I personally think it is highly doubtfull considering the extreme hot to cold variances, full blown cosmic rays from the sun with zero protection, and several other reasons.

It is highly probable at one time to the tune of 3 billion years ago it may be probable that microbial life might have exsisted and the conclusion of that is still out.

Only time will tell.

For NASA or the Government hiding anything about it is also highly doubtfull.

I think is is highly possible the government is hiding some info.

There is proof in documents hundreds of years old that Jesus was not only married but had a child born after his death. That is considered rubbish today, is refused to be taken seriously, and the facts are just forgotten about.

Do you think that there is a cure for AIDS and cancer and whatnot? Would you believe me if I told you that there is and it was discovered decades ago? Would you also believe that you could find it at a GNC or any well stocked vitamin store? I personally know this and have seen it over and over again work it's magic on close friends and family members, but I never talk about it because it is useless. What is the point of bringing up? People think that I am full of crap.

Anyone who brings up things like that must be full of it. Of course the government wouldn't release that kind of information. Imagine: a world where no more money is raised to find a cure, thousands and thousands of doctors and research scientists out of work, overpopulation (which leads to slews of its own problems) and people having rampant sex anywhere and everywhere not worrying about consequences. No therapies, no nothing. Funny, the cure is so obvious that the research is not actually known by anyone who didn't actually work on it (another reason why I personally know this).

You'd be surprised what your government doesn't want you to know about. Of course, I am just some conspiracy nut who should be on a radio show somewhere or writing a conspiracy newspaper or something. This is the first place I have ever publicly mentioned anything I am saying and I feel confident that not a single person who reads this will take it seriously and that is why I honestly feel safe mentioning any of it here. Kind of like in Men in Black...and the idea behind those stupid magazines the agents use to get the news. No more on this whacko talk now...

....also, who cares about hot and cold temperatures and atmospheres? Pressues and magnetic fields.....life finds ways around that. We have found life in the weirdest places on this planet.....deep down in the depths of the planet where humans would be crushed into the size of a tennis ball you'll find a lifeform who finds it perfectly comfortable.

Just because you have never seen or heard of the lifeform before doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

Like I said, I won't try to convince anyone of anything I stated above. It's not my loss. Sorry.

Also, I don't think the government is evil. Just untrustworthy on many things. And also, if I was going to complain about the untrustworthyness of the government, I wouldn't start with Mars photos. I'd start with crap law, foreign policy, illegal income tax, and medical care.

But, as for the gov't being less than thruthful....

Agent orange - Denied culpability
A-bomb testing on our soldiers - Denied culpability
Gulf War Syndrome - Denies claims
Bombing of the neutral country of Cambodia - Denied action

The medical field is a multi-billion dollar industry, and they are not going to give that up. The humanitarian would give the cure of disease freely, the creep makes a profit on it. It is good business for people to stay sick.

So, do I think that the gov't hides info, alters the truth and knows more than it tells...certainly. And has NASA et al played with images...yes.

Corrupt Administrators during my tenure in the Chicago School system were slapped down for their actions, and I sleep well that I held them accountable & removed them from their positions. Presently, I still write about present people in prominent positions in the school system who commit crimes, are incompetent or just stupid. and this is just a school system! Imagine what goes on in the bureaucracy that is the gov't.

It just wrong.
