Billy Corgan's CD Release party at the Adler
I volunteered to work the Corgan event, starting at 6:00pm. This time the action would be at the North Telescope terrace. Fellow telescope operators Jeff, Don and Mia were there to show the fans the planets during the event.

Throughout the evening, Billy was signing cd cases and posters with quite an immense line waiting. We showed Jupiter, Saturn and Venus through the scopes and I had a few very good conversations about planetary mechanics with a handful of people. Saturn was too close to the horizon to get a good view of Saturn, but it was there to see nevertheless.
It was now 10:00 pm, and time to put away the scopes. As I was breaking down the 4" refractor, this polite gentelman approaches me and asks to take a peek. Well, since it was already out of service and pointing down, I directed him to catch Jupiter in Don's and Jeff's scope. As he left my area, this HUGE entourage followed him to the scopes. It was no other than Billy Corgan! He was dressed in a long jacket and cap, and I didn't recognize him, and really did not expect him to come out and peek through the scopes...
The crowd was quite huge and I had this pic snapped quickly as they all pushed in to see and hear what was happening. He did look at Jupiter and had a conversation with Jeff.
And with that...it was all over... ;D
