Halloween gathering of the Adler Crew
Our Volunteer Coordinator at the Adler Alisun, organized a nice evening for us at the Planetarium this 31st of October. Eerie music played thru the ceiling speakers, staff dressed up and food with an eerie twist to them were presented for us to enjoy.
I arrived at about 7:00 pm and greeted my old Adler pals and staff. I started digging in on the food and shared stories with others.
I, along with fellow Adler Telescope Operator Arvind, took pics of the event.
Here Arvind...mysterious and dapper is well armed and unknown to us...quite lethal.
Immediately, Arvind started on his rampage and I was attacked by surprise, under the guise of an astronomical question. I was his first victim of the evening. Smiling gleefully and with a causual bent arm, he impales me...into an agonizing but cheerful welcome...all the while enjoying the deed.
Jude fared no better. She was savagely impaled by Arvind's rapier...while again...he smirked wickedly and with a morbid enjoyment. People ran for their own lives, but I managed to capture the cold act from another angle.
Linda managed to disarm Arvind with a martial arts move, "The sleeping Cobra"....learned when she was a Shaolin monk one summer. Her husband Alfred seems a little too close to the fast action of the sharp blade.
Confident at the minor inconvenience, Arvind mocks Linda and laughs it off. With great speed and skill Linda subdues the masked one and proves victorious.
With Arvind now dispatched and locked in the centrifuge, we were now free to socialize.
Here Kellie and I pose, as she is Fawn from Animal House. My favorite line from that movie is "Short, fat and stupid is no way to go through life son". It's quite true you know.
John, a great Chicago Sox fan, came in full regalia and cleats. Little did I know that John had built an unholy alliance with Arvind, and secretly let him out of the centrifuge. Here the Duo posed in defiance and laughed at the impulsive deeds. They are now known as Two-face and the Mask.
I gathered the entire crew of Adler staff and Telescope Operators for a group shot before we all dispersed. And I'm in there somewhere between Alisun and my girl Liz.
I enjoyed the event, had fun and will see most of them in upcoming Adler events.

Thanks Arvind...you cad you!
