Chicago Astronomer Soap Box Rules of Conduct

Fellow Chicago Astronomers...

We are all here in this forum to celebrate and share our love of astronomy and space exploration. We are a special group of people who look up at the stars and need to ask how and why.

Different people with different opinions on matters that are of great interest to us should be accepted and discussed civilly and without attack.

Now, I encourage all view points, no matter how off the wall, conservative or liberal they may be. But I will not tolerate attacks or ridicule from, within or against our membership. Please don't force me to delete a post or ban you into the sunlight. Not my style.

Enjoy, post to your little astronomer heart's content, and thank you for your interest.

Is this the board we can say whats on our minds about not only the goverment but what is going on in the Space Programs. Or maybe even people at Star Parties.

Just asking. Wanted to make sure so I know where to go with my saop box. lol

Fear not astro buddies...

If you have a strong stance on a certain subject, post it here. Otherwise it gets lost in the field, and mucks up the flow of other topics.

If you think Bush's Space plan is more suited for lining the bird cage, well Let's hear it. Or the incompetence of the O'keefe as head of NASA, then I would like to hear of it. Say what what you wish, (within reason), and fear not of abusive attack.

No one has offened any rules ......yet. Cause, to Intelligent Chicago Astronomers, such childish behavior is not within you.
