Full Moon and Mars Opposition Viewing

Join the Chicago Astronomer crew Saturday the 21st of May 2016 for a pleasant evening under urban skies, telescopes and Astronomers.  


We will share urber views of: the Full Moon Lunar Surface (Filtered for contrast), the Jupiter system and finally....an early Mars - now hanging very bright in the east - challenging Antares, it's mortal enemy.  The next day, May 22nd, Mars will be in opposition, very bright and inviting.  


We will attend to our fans from 8:00 pm to 10:00 pm, just west of the Adler Planetarium building - just look for the Chicago Astronomer scopes...and large crowd of sky lovers.
