Join the Chicago Astronomer and the Chicago Park District in welcoming in the summer with a Solstice session and safe telescopic viewings of the Sun's surface at Warren Park - 6601 N. Western Ave at 12:00 to 3:00 pm...
We will set-up close to the field house...look for the huge Astrobrella and scopes. The weather hopefully will clear up during the morning hours after a night of showers. If partly cloudy, we will set- up telescopes with filters to gaze at the surface of the Sun and celebrate the apparent stop motion of the Sun heading north and start to return to the south and the beginning of summer. If totally cloudy or rained out, we will reschedule at a future date to be announced.
