I have had the great honor & opportunity to share my passion of astronomy and all things space with the IHSCA students during the 2015 school year. An idea I had been kicking around and been asked to do since last year, time was an issue. As it is, it becomes a 12 hour work day every Tuesday - meeting after the full work/school day....but it's well worth it...
Starting out in March, (after the hard freeze), we began the exploratory inquiries with our students if they would like to participate in a astronomy club...and the response was solid from the start, with enthusiastic members and good attendance, (even during spring break). The astro crew desires to meet during the summer break, but that is yet to be determined.
Congrats to the Astronomy club crew for making a strong presence at IHSCA from the start!
