We learn how celestial objects make their appearances in our skies, the behavior or planets revolving around the Sun and how to maintain a orbit around planets, here traveling around the Earth at 17,500 MPH. At the end of each meeting, I open it up to astro questions of any subject and we discuss time travel and alternate dimensions.
A solid 2nd meeting of the Astro crew...on to next week where we will elect Club Officers and discuss Solar mechanics.

Week 2 of the IHSCA Astronomy club and the interest remains high. I do anticipate the number to decrease as group will find it's own level...and that the other spring extracurricular programs will commence shortly, but we had 22 students join our session.

With the late fall sky projected on the screen, I use the program "Stellarium" to guide our members across skies that they will eventually navigate with ease.
