A single 30 seconds exposure with a full spectrum modded Canon T3i dslr, CLS-CCD filter,
coma corrector and 6" Astrotech newt on Celestron AVX eq mount.
Autoguided with SSAG and PHD freeware.

The Moon was about 20 degrees from Orion and the sky was far from clear...and again the power cables.

Thanks! The red triangular pattern is part of the electric post.

I also took a pic of the Rosette that night to test the sensitivity of the camera at 656 nm(H-alpha 12 nm filter used) and I got a good signal with a 5 min. exposure at ISO 800. Waiting on a clear and dry night!

I think that it's incredible that we can tease details out even from the most awful conditons and settings.
