Solar Imaging and daytime Lunar & Jupiter imaging

The 2nd half of today turned out pretty sunny - after a gloomy and drizzly morning. I thought I would capture Sunspot #1721 and see where that large CME burp came from. Seeing conditions were very poor this day and this session was just after the approaching warm from pushed the clouds away, so still a bit turbulent...

There were a splattering of newer sunspots about the face of the Sun as well...

Good displays of faculae this day...

Seeing the crescent Moon not too far away...I took a shot...

No big.

I told the CG-5 mount to go and find me Jupiter in the day light. It slewed and brought my the king of the planets almost dead-center in the eyepiece...

You can catch the banding, even in the low contrast of the mid day Sunshine.

Nice. Jupiter should have been close enough to Luna to maybe find it without the go-to.

I have never posted my pictures from finding Venus in the daylight last October. I should try to do that soon.
