Solar Imaging on a crisp sunny winter's day

Yesterday's Solar Imaging session was a good one - with Sunspot group #1689 putting on a great chain display. I used the C5 SCT on that one, and thought I would load the 102mm Celestron Refractor for today's session...
The Sunspot altered some since I last observed it and new ones have popped up. While composing, I had a jet fly over the Sun and leaving a trail of tire tracks that wafted down across the solar disk...
Back to the Sunspots...
Atmospheric conditions were good this day with mostly steady air and good transparency - with #1689 showing good promise in releasing it's secrets.
We zoom in....
Looking good....
No eyepiece filters, just on-camera adjustments of white balance and other settings.
Good definition and contrast shots...
Sunspot group #1690 is rather sluggish...
...not really doing anything much , but nice faculae display. #1689 is the money shot here.
A good session with nary a cloud in the sky.
