Quick Lunar Imaging on a windy evening

It's always a shame to waste a clear sky with taking time to enjoy it...if even for a brief time. With the 90mm refractor temporarily stored in the entrance hall, it's an easy set-up to capture some quick lunar shots.

Starting out in the late afternoon, I like the blue hue that twilight pics take...

Using the trusty Zhumell Zoom 1.25" eyepiece and the clunky Polaroid pocket camera for this session, I like the combo....

A cold front was moving in and the evening turned very windy and gusty, but it cleared out the skies beautifully and made for some good transparent viewing.

I see a lot of green in these images. Is that from the optics in the refractor? Or the camera? I've never noticed it in other lunar shots taken with the 90mm.

The green hue Paulie, is an artifact from the Polaroid camera.

...which has seemed to have failed now.....damn.

But, I still got the Samsung and the dependable Canon.

And....

I got a new 102mm refractor coming in...more on that laters.

With today's high quality pocket cameras and camera phones...it's never been easier or more conviennent.

There are various Digital Camera holders that fit practically any camera to just about any scope.

I am thinking about getting one for lunar & solar shots.
