For years I have heard rumors about the scientologists [sic] running a direct metal mastering lab out of a SoCal vinyl pressing plant, making copies of LRH wisdom to sink into time capsules so the words will be accessible in the future even if technology takes either a huge leap forward (or backwards). Almost all digital formats yet invented are already obsolete.

DDA is the way to go for the end times, amigo! A solar turntable and a Leatherman tool.

Joe, there's a silver lining to all these end-time storms we supposedly endured today . I had to run out to Home Depot tonight for the second time to finish up some home improvement projects. During the drive, I was surprised to see the moon out. Not just out but bright and crisp! Then I looked around the rest of the sky. Stars were popping everywhere. The storms had temporarily cleared out all the dust and pollution in the atmosphere. The skies were unbelievably clear and crisp. I have never seen them so transparent here in the Chicagoland area! So clear in fact that even though the moon was up and oh so bright, the rest of the sky was relatively inky black. I could barely see any sky glow from the surrounding communities.

I was so bummed that I had household obligations tonight. I would have loved to get out there and try broadcasting some more. Hell, tonight would have been an impressive night to just ogle the moon!

I had noticed this too last evening with raw ground beef under my arm on my way home...and during the summer months, always anticipate a session right after a storm.

If it is still clear in awhile, I will set up the C11 out of the Garage and see if I can catch me some Saturn. It's still rather windy though.

Raw beef serves double purpose.

As the end times winds blew hard recently, it also stirs up the end times zombie factor.

I figures like this: If a potential zombie makes a run for me, craving my brain...I can always toss the raw beef in the opposite direction and make a dash for it.

If not, then a good cheeseburger awaits me.

Win-win.

A remarkable satellite image of the End Times storm...

Here’s a satellite image of a storm of record-breaking proportions. On October 26, 2010, the strongest storm ever recorded in the Midwest spawned 24 tornadoes, 282 reports of damaging winds, violent thunderstorms, and torrential rains.

The mega-storm reached peak intensity late yesterday afternoon over Minnesota, resulting in the lowest barometric pressure readings ever recorded in the continental United States (except for from hurricanes and nor’easters affecting the Atlantic seaboard.)

The storm continues today (Oct. 27) with more tornado watches posted for Mississippi, Alabama, and Georgia, a blizzard warning for North Dakota, high wind warnings for most of the upper Midwest, and near-hurricane force winds on Lake Superior.

Very galactic-like...but no black hole.

I haven't commented on this thread yet to hide my ignorance of meteorology, but Patrick is right on this one. Joe, as JPL Solar System Ambassador, you should know it too. Did NASA send out an Ipod on the Voyagers? No. They sent a record. Gold, not vinyl, but serves the same purpose. Whatever alien races the Voyagers stumble upon will thank us for not sending them an mp3/mp4 player. So easy a caveman can do it, right? Gotta go old school for the End Times...

With all the tornadoes the past week, sustained high winds, and 50 MPH+ gusts, I'm wishing now that I had documented the current whatever has been blasting us to compare to the big storm in October 2010.
