I have decided to create a special board for the 114th Space Shuttle mission, and will create a new one for each STS mission afterwards. This way, things are organized better and nice and tidy.

General news on the Space Shuttle program are listed below.

It's been awhile since your last post...good to see you on the forum!

Don't worry about your comments, all opinons and viewpoints are welcome regardless of position. It's what makes dialog a fluid one, and all posts are of value.

I, along with you, hope for a safe return for the Shuttle. Let's push for better maintenance of the remaining shuttle "Fleet", and think it all out before the next launch.

I'm merely the offical shuttlehugger, and satellite watcher here.

So much media hype is going around, it makes me severly aggravated. I don't like hearing the negative shuttle riff raff, negativity never solves anything, only makes it worse, I'm mainly refering to the media exxagerating details, and just making the whole ordeal gloomy grim.

I'm looking forward to a safe return of the STS-114 crew

I agree with a post you made sometime ago...in that reporters constantly refer to the disaters of past whenever reporting on the current mission. It's quite annoying now that you pointed it out.

Good on successful separation from the ISS, but...I wonder who gets to clean out the trash collected from the space station when it returns?

Like many Americans, she has dreamed ever since about humans sailing effortlessly through space on sleek "Star Trek"-inspired starships.

hello mr guzman, mr renz, mr rocketman / grady / shuttlehugger

all i've got to say is ....god speed and safe landing for the crew on sts114.

i've been watching the only 'limited' coverage on bbc
and not any better cover on 'sky' either... but the video/pictures that were beamed across are quite amazing and breath-taking... oh my ...the undocking and the roll around the shuttle is absolutely amazing, never seen anything like it..quite awesome.

god speed home eileen collins and the crew...please come back safely.

It would be interesting to hear about the Shuttles return from your part of the world and the slant it takes. I will be watching the glide path live this morning at 3:30 am, and hope the landing is uneventful.

And thank you for the compliments and appreciation for the Chicago Astronomer Forum. I am pleased, as will Chicago Astronomer Curt, for using his Lunar calendar. I think it's great of Curt to share with all of us his offering. All the active members contribute so much to this site, that I am humbled at all the content...

On the critisism of the Forum and myself...Not everyone "Gets" it, and lashes out when it differs from their own opinion. In those cases, you thank them for their contribution and yell out... "NEXT!"... Can't please 'em all I say.

I like your too few posts and the enthusiasm you show in them. Keep them up!... ;D

so mr guzman ...the interview is over, this side of the Atlantic....the slant from here is....not enough coverage on bbc / sky ( thank you mr murdoch...) we are back to homicides and terrorism... oh well, nothing changes.... the morons are not gonna win anyway....

the interview with the crew was wonderful, poised, insightful for the future of the following flights and so distinguished, considering that they have had to work so hard up there and they must be so tired and excited, ....
