[Chicago Astronomer - Astro Joe]

Becky (Stargazer), sent in these remarkable anvil storm clouds of last week, over her town of Elgin, Northwest of Chicago.

The larger images give a better impact of the sheer magnitude of the imposing formation, but I have scaled them down for faster loading.

The sunset really painted the clouds with various hues and depth.

Joe this may sound weird but I was just looking at these pics again and noticed something very funny. Find the face in the clouds. Ilooks like one of the Pres from the Monument. Tell me if you or anyone else found it and where.

Yep...I certainly can see the face, but it looks more Indian/Native American to me. Strong cheek bones serious brow. Yep...Indian.

I'm off to catch Mercury now...and about time I say!
