The 2007 Adler Planetarium Christmas Party on board the Mystic Blue Cruise Ship

Shown are the Adler crew: Myself, Rob, Christine, Larry, ?, John & son Micheal, Jude, Carmen, Linda, Steve, Maria, Joyce, Fred, Greg, Ron & wife, Sherry and Jeff.
This year, the Adler had it's party on the high seas of Lake Michigan. A nice change of pace from the usual Land Locked locales of the past.
No telescopes, no star charts, no comet hunting, no freezing winter astronomy...we'll save that for tomorrow. But instead, full glasses of ones favorite beverage, a high plate of buffet eats and great company.

I won quite a cool door prize...I win something cool every Christmas! This time it was a one night stay for 2 at the Hyatt Hotel! Sweet!....

Three of our own won prizes this evening. Jude, Linda and I display our envelopes of cheer.
The crew had a great time on board ship, drinking and eating excessively. Exploring the ship, abandoning one group to join another...and nary a word about astronomy. Afterall, men & women of science cannot always talk shop.
I too also enjoyed myself very much with my fellow Adler crew - but more importantly, sharing the full evening and laughs with people who have become trusted and dear friends of mine.
