Beta test of the Site Search Feature... « Thread Started on Jan 17, 2005, 3:20am »
Site searching the Chicago astronomer Database
Fellow Chicago Astronomers...
There have been times when I needed to look up a past post for reference or correction. I was daunted with the task before me..sorting thru thousands of posts where I thought it would be, only to discover that it was in another thread and different date.
This is a Beta test of the Site Search Feature I hope to provide my membership. I have also included the option to search the web as well.
If you have any suggestions or ideas, please let me know. Chicago Astronomers deserve and expect the best!

I discovered a 'shortcut' method of searching for the 10 most recent posts. This process works because I am set up to remain 'logged on' to the Chicagoastronomer website. Previously I would access Chicagoastronomer by clicking on the bookmark I had created which brought me to the 'main' page - then I would scroll down to the 'Moon Phases' area and click on the link for '10 most recent posts' which I would scan. Then it dawned on me that once I had clicked on '10 most recent posts' I could bookmark that location. Now I have 2 bookmarks - the original which brings me to the main page - or the new one which takes me directly to the 10 most recent posts.
